Psychotherapy

I am an IACP accredited psychotherapist hold a BA in Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy from the International College for Personal and Professional Development (ICPPD). I provide therapy in two languages: English and Croatian.

My Psychotherapeutic Approach

My work is integrative and holistic, and includes a variety of approaches and techniques, such as mindfulness, dream-work and inner child work.

My aim is to help clients look into their emotions and fully experience them in order to discover the aspects of themselves, of which they were previously unaware. I then help my clients to find self-compassion and to integrate the fragmented parts of themselves in order to bring about healing.

As a yoga teacher, I introduce elements of breath and body awareness into my work, as well as elements of eastern philosophy in a very practical way so that my clients find ways to live happier and more fulfilled lives.

For me, the most significant part of therapy lies in the therapeutic relationship and I believe the magic starts happening when we began to feel security and trust in the relationship with our therapist.

I don't define success as something on the outside. For me success is being true to who we really are and living the life we want, no matter what the rest of the world thinks or tells us about it. In order to get to that place, we might need to be willing to feel uncomfortable while we acknowledge all that we are not. Denying our real feelings never works in the long run, which is why my aim is to create a space where my clients feel comfortable to explore their innermost values, thoughts and feelings.

I work with clients who struggle with the following issues:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • trauma

  • shame

  • distorted self-image

  • feeling alone in the world

  • conflict avoidance

  • feeling like they do everything wrong

  • feeling like they don't deserve to be happy

  • always staying small

  • not having a voice

I draw on my experience in Non-Violent Communication to help my clients work through conflicts in their relationships.

Wherever appropriate, I integrate meditative practices that will help my clients "drop into stillness", go within and question their painful thoughts and eventually turn them around. These come from my experience with The Work of Byron Katie.

I offer sessions online and face-to-face. My cost is €70 for a 60-minute session.

I am now accepting clients for face-to-face sessions in Galway City at Mind and Body Works, as well as online.
